Tickets On Sale Now for Annual Lincoln Day Dinner Wednesday, 02.03.2010, 01:34pm (GMT-6)
Tickets are on sale now for the annual Lincoln
Day Dinner, slated for February 15, and the Cedar Livestock and Heritage
Festival, in conjunction with the Cedar Livestock Association, is proud to present
this annual tradition.
For many years, the Lincoln Day dinner was the
event of the year for Iron County’s Livestock Industry: an opportunity to get
together, catch up with friends and talk about livestock issues and
opportunities. The event has dwindled over the years but had a triumphant
return last year with a sold out crowd.
“We are really excited about this year’s
dinner,” says Livestock Festival Chairman Chad Reid. “Last year, the
tickets sold fast, so you might want to buy them now.”
The event will take place February 15, at 6:00
p.m. at Cedar Middle School. Tickets are on sale at the USU Extension Office,
585 N. Main. Cost is $20, and tickets must be purchased before February 10.
The evening will include drawings, a live auction,
prizes, entertainment and a delicious Dutch oven dinner prepared by Vittles “R”
Us (Kendall Benson family). The menu features a garlic lamb
roast, potatoes, scones and honey butter, and hot apple cobbler.
For more information, contact Chad Reid at the USU
Extension Office, 435-586-8132.
